Add a silky, smooth glaze to your breakfast with the addition of one of our favorites: Baked Apples. Perfect for a weekend brunch, this is a breakfast for the ages.

What You'll Need

  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 6 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (12-ounce) package frozen apples

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Place butter in a 10-inch cast iron skillet; place in oven for 6 minutes or until sizzling.

  2. Meanwhile, combine milk and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl; beat well with a wire whisk. Remove skillet from oven; pour batter into skillet. Bake 17 minutes or until pancake is puffed, golden, and set.

  3. While pancake bakes, prepare apples according to package directions. To serve, cut pancake into wedges, and serve with warm apples.

Notes

You may have heard a baked pancake referred to as a Dutch baby. Whichever name you prefer, be sure to serve the dish hot out of the oven before it deflates.
