If you believe that the way to their hearts is through their stomachs, serve this along with a glass of cold milk or maybe some refreshing iced tea. You should enjoy this one while relaxing with the ones you love best!

What You'll Need

  • 3 slices white bread, torn into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon confectioners' sugar

What to Do

  1. Preheat the over to 350 degree F. Place the bread in a 11/2-quart casserole dish that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the milk, eggs, granulated sugar, butter, and salt; mix well. Pour over the bread and let sit for 5 minutes until absorbed by the bread. Place the casserole dish in a large baking pan of hot water, with just enough water to go halfway up the sides of the casserole dish.

  3. Bake for 80 to 90 minutes, or until the top is set and golden. Carefully remove from the hot water bath and allow to cool for 20 minutes.

  4. Cover and chill for at least 3 hours before serving. When ready to serve, sprinkle with the confectioners' sugar.
