Nothing is more comforting than ladling some homemade gravy over our food. This Back-to-Basics Brown Gravy is a cinch to prepare, and it beats bottled gravy hands down. So, when you need the finishing touches on a fantastically made meal, make our Back-to-Basics Brown Gravy for simple and delicious flavor. 

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon browning and seasoning sauce

What to Do

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add flour and whisk until smooth and golden in color. Slowly whisk in broth, salt, pepper, and browning and seasoning sauce until mixture comes to a boil, stirring constantly.
  2. Reduce heat to low and simmer 3 to 5 minutes or until thickened.
