Super Bowl Turkey Strips

The super bowl is such a big event . . . why, it's almost like a national holiday! And special times call for special food, so here's a treat that's fit for any special occasion?.It's an automatic party!

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 cup biscuit baking mix
  • 1/2 cup cornflake crumbs or finely crushed cornflakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 pound fresh turkey breast slices, cut into 1-inch strips
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons butter, as needed

What to Do

  1. In a large bowl, combine the biscuit baking mix, cornflake crumbs, chili powder, oregano, and pepper.

  2. Place the beaten eggs in a shallow dish. Dip the turkey strips into the egg, then into the cornflake crumb mixture to coat.

  3. In a large skillet, heat the butter and sauté the coated strips over medium-low heat for 6 to 7 minutes, or until golden brown.
             Serve immediately or save for later use by placing the cooked strips on a baking sheet, covering                        them, and storing in the refrigerator. Reheat in the oven or microwave when ready to serve.

Notes

Serve on hot dog rolls with bottled chili sauce or salsa.
