Lighter in fat and versatile, ground turkey is the key to making your own Turkey Sausage Burgers. This change of pace from traditional burgers is a healthier burger option.

What You'll Need

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoon bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seed, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

What to Do

  1. In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients. Form mixture into patties and broil, grill or pan-fry in vegetable oil until meat is done and no longer pink.
