Balsamic Glaze

Slightly sweet, slightly tart balsamic vinegar is a great staple to keep in your pantry and, since a little goes a long way, it's a great value. Balsamic vinegar isn't just for salads. Try our tasty Balsamic Glaze for an anytime seasoning boost.

What You'll Need

  • 2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar

What to Do

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring balsamic vinegar to a boil over high heat. Stir in brown sugar, reduce heat to low, and simmer 12 to 15 minutes, or until liquid is reduced and slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
     
  2. Place in an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.

Yields 2-1/2 cups.
