Mr. Food Features "Hello Cupcake!" Author On Spring Cookbook Corner
Fort Lauderdale, FL (March 16, 2010) — Art Ginsburg, aka Mr. Food, knows a thing or two about baking. But when he invited cookbook author Karen Tack to share cupcake decorating ideas and tips on his show, he was duly impressed.
Tack and co-author Alan Richardson created the popular “Hello, Cupcake!” cookbook, with a second book, “What’s New, Cupcake?” hitting stores in April. Ginsburg says, “The cupcake trend has caught on like wildfire. What I love about the ideas in Karen and Alan’s book is that they are amazingly creative, using products that are readily available at practically any supermarket.”
The creations in “Hello, Cupcake!” can be made with homemade or store-bought cupcakes and other ingredients such as prepared frosting, cookies, and candies like jelly beans and licorice, etc. “Like all the Mr. Food recipes, these are ‘anyone can do it’ tips, and the cupcakes look amazing!” Ginsburg added.
Tack will appear on the Mr. Food segment airing Friday, March 26, sharing her recipe for Spring Flower Cupcakes in time for Easter celebrations. It’s a quick and easy homemade idea to help budget- and time-pressed viewers with their holiday entertaining. Instead of paying a high price for bakery desserts, Tack shows how to easily decorate cupcakes with a variety of pastel-colored gourmet jelly bean “petals” for a fun and tasty result.
A return appearance on the Mr. Food show is scheduled for Tack in early summer, when she’ll continue to inspire viewers to explore their own creativity.
