Mr. Food Salutes The 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver

Fort Lauderdale, FL (February 23, 2010) – Fans of winter sports are still glued to their television sets for coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympics, which continue this week in Vancouver, Canada. Syndicated television host Art Ginsburg, aka “Mr. Food,” is one of the millions of fans cheering on Team USA. In his salute to the Winter Games, Ginsburg has devoted two of this week’s segments to tasty recipes for armchair athletes to enjoy while watching the competitions play out in British Columbia.

Light, yet hearty Easy Turkey Chili is the perfect one-pot meal to serve during winter, especially when hosting an Olympic-themed party. “I like substituting the traditional ground beef for ground turkey breast as a lighter alternative, since it can be just as flavorful while packing less fat and calories,” said Ginsburg. In his second Olympics segment, he features comforting Strawberry-Rhubarb Cobbler. “Warm desserts sure are welcome at this time of year – and the fruit is not only good for us, it gives our usual winter fare a kiss of sunshine,” he adds.

The Mr. Food television recipes are available online at mrfood.com, where streaming video of his segments can be viewed, as well.
