World-Famous Harlem Globetrotters Score Slam Dunk with Mr. Food

Fort Lauderdale, FL (April 6, 2010) — A slam dunk exchange of sorts occurred on the Mr. Food television segment set when two members of the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters basketball team, the legendary Fred “Curly” Neal and the amazing Hot Shot Branch, were welcomed by Art Ginsburg, aka Mr. Food, for the taping of his nationally syndicated television food segment featuring the recipe for Slam Dunk Chili Dip.

The appropriately named recipe, available at www.MrFood.com, is a crowd-pleasing creamy yet hearty dip that’s perfect for game-watching, so it was a natural fit for the Globetrotters to share the shots with Mr. Food. Of course, they couldn’t keep from offering Mr. Food and his nationwide viewing audience a fun-filled sample of their own style of “slam dunk” tricks…with frequent time-outs for tasting Mr. Food’s Slam Dunk Chili Dip.

Neal and Branch are in the midst of the 2010 Globetrotters Magical Memories World Tour, which is making its way through North America. When they rolled into south Florida, Mr. Food invited them to stop by his studio, and the result was a fast-paced, fun-filled segment that viewers are sure to enjoy.

Branch is in his sixth season with the Globetrotters. Neal, who is said to be one of the most magical shooters and dribblers in basketball history, played with the Globetrotters from 1963 to 1985, before having his number retired; he continues to make special appearances with the team.

Ginsburg said of today’s taping with the Globetrotters, “It was truly an honor to meet these two incredibly talented and entertaining sports heroes. Sharing my set with them, as well as sharing this tasty recipe, was a memorable experience that had all of us saying…‘OOH IT'S SO GOOD!!®’”
