I tried this finally and it met all my expectations, delish. I would cut back the club soda to 6ozs however, 8ozs (1 cup) dilutes flavor and the soda overflows out of the tallest glass. Use a tall glass anyway, you'll need it bc once the club soda/seltzer is added, it foams up and fills up high. So gooood.

This makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, my dad was the one who introduced me to a "black and white". I often have to explain to anyone working the ice cream counter, what it is exactly. It is like a chocolate egg cream but with vanilla ice cream added. Delish.

I made this last night, wow. Exactly as I remember it. I would cut back the club soda to 6 ozs. rather than a full cup. A cup dilutes the flavor a bit. Not to mention, that you'd need a foot-high glass bc it really foams up once you add the seltzer, use a tall glass all the same. You'll need it! I ordered the wide milkshake straws and long-handled spoons from Amazon, inexpensive, and makes the whole BW soda experience even better.

I have never heard of such a thing as a black and white soda before, I think it is before my time. But this looks great nonetheless. This would be a perfect after dinner drink to serve at a summer party, or even for family movie night. Crme de menthe, Kahlua, or even baileys could be added to this for a truly adult treat. What a great idea!

Nooooo! Dont add on the alcohol, less is more!

Perfect mix of vanilla and chocolate, Maybe add mint to it.

NOOOOO. No mint please! Add mint to your iced tea, lemonade or mojitos. NOT this! A blasphemy!
