BACK TO SCHOOL RECIPES: OUR CAFETERIA SERVED P B AND?. IT WAS A SWEET PB SANDWICH WITH LETTUCE. MY QUESTION CAN YOU GET THE RECIPE ? I HAVE EVERY KIND OF COMBOS AND CAN NOT GET THE RIGHT TASTE. THANK YOU AND PLEASE GET BACK TO ME WITH A YES OR NO.

This recipe sure sounds sweet?? What ever happened to the vinegar & oil recipe from years past.....?? Have not tried this one so just wondering?? Thanks

My mother-in-law used to make this, without the pimento, in the 60's!! It was spectacular!! I had forgotten about it, but will make it myself!!

I think adding 1/4 to 1/3 cup vegetable oil and about 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar improves this immensely and I also recommend boiling the sugar and vinegar into a simple syrup before pouring over the veggie ingredients.

YES....must have cider vinegar!!
