Key West Grilled Chicken

(2 Votes)
10 Min

Ready to try a new way with grilled chicken? Try Key West Grilled Chicken. This recipe really delivers exciting tropical flavor!

What You'll Need:
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless and skinless chicken breast halves
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
What To Do:
  1. Place the chicken in a shallow dish; set aside. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; mix well then pour over the chicken. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour, turning occasionally.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  3. Place the chicken on the grill and discard excess marinade. Cook the chicken for about 10 minutes per side, or until tender and no pink remains.

This is great made in the broiler, too! Be sure to adjust cooking time accordingly.

When a recipe calls for cooking in a pressure cooker, can it be done in a slow cooker or some other way. Thank you

Thank You! I got this recipe from your TV show years ago, in the mid 90s I think and it was a favorite, both of mine and my husband's. After moving a few times I managed to lose it and have been searching for it ever since. Now I have it again just in time for grilling season! The only change I make is to marinate for a longer period of time, at least 2 hours. The result is a flavorful fork tender chicken that my husband insisted I make extra so he could share with his friends. I've also subbed corn syrup for the honey when I was out of honey with good results.
