Barbecued foods remind us of summer, and spending time with friends and family out of doors. Well, now you can capture some of those summer tastes all year long by making our Barbecued Drumsticks. This easy chicken recipe is full of rich, delicious, flavor!

What You'll Need:
  • 10 chicken drumsticks (about 2 pounds total)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
What To Do:
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Coat  a 9- x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray; add drumsticks and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  2. Bake 30 minutes.

  3. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Remove drumsticks from oven and pour barbecue sauce mixture over them. Return to oven 30 additional minutes, or until juices run clear and no pink remains.

I fixed these tonight for supper and they were very good. I prepared exactly as the recipe stated but for me personally I did not care so much for the cumin in this dish. I still give it a 5 star rating as my husband said they were good and other folks taste would probably agree.

yum yum yum yum yum. Deliscioso

Two young, picky eaters gave this recipe a big thumbs up, I have a feeling this is going to be a regular at our house from now on. I made two adjustments to the recipe. First, I removed the skin from the drumsticks, and covered the dish with foil for the first 30 minutes of baking (left uncovered after coating with sauce as per the recipe.) Since there was no skin to seal in the juices the foil kept them from drying out. Secondly, I did not add the additional seasonings to the bbq sauce. Just used our favorite sauce and it turned out fine. Also, not only are these good just out of the oven, but they're also quite yummy cold from the fridge for a quick lunch or snack!
