What about the coconut?

Hello! Coconut is in the cake mix, and you can always sprinkle coconut on top before baking. :)

16 ounces of sugar?! Why? Way too much....especially with cream cheese which doesn't need much....maybe 1/3 cup?

Hi there! 16 oz of sugar is the correct amount for this recipe. If you would like to lessen the amount of sugar to 8 oz for a less sweetened cake, then you can do so as well. Enjoy! :)

I made this for a church dinner. Wasn't impressed with the turnout. Brought most of it home and it sat in the refrigerator until I threw it out.

I made this recipe this past weekend to take to my stepdaughter and her family, and it turned out great...actually better than I was expecting!! I might double the amount of pecans next time, but it was really yummy anyway!

I forgot to mention that I didn't toast the pecans...totally forgot but it was so good anyway!
