Taffy Apple Pizza
Treat your family to pizza for dessert! They'll love the sugar cookie crust that's layered with gooey cream cheese and warm apples. And don't forget to top it off with your favorite caramel sauce. It's a real crowd-pleaser!
What You'll Need:
1 tablespoon lemon juice
5 medium Braeburn or Fuji apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1 (20-ounce) package refrigerated sugar cookie dough
2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
cup caramel topping
What To Do:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine water and lemon juice in a medium bowl; add apple slices.
- Press cookie dough evenly onto an ungreased 12-inch pizza pan. Bake 15 minutes or until golden. Cool crust in pan on a wire rack.
- Beat cream cheese, brown sugar, and vanilla at medium speed of an electric beater until smooth. Spread over cookie crust.
- Drain apple slices; arrange over cream cheese layer. Drizzle with caramel topping, slice, and serve.
