Cucumbers are so yummy in any salad and I love the many benefits that come from eating them, but would you please tell me why the cucumbers need to be soaked in salty ice water...don't they become waterlogged and limp from doing this, and won't they chill from simply putting them in the fridge after adding the rest of the ingredients?

Hi there! Soaking them ensures the crispness and fresh flavors by soaking them first!

Crunchy cucumber salad is the best tasting I've ever made and the colors are very appetizing. Try it...you'll love it!
