Easy and so good!!!

I make these all the time My family Loves them I also add my own different additions like carrots, jalopenos, bellpeppers just about anything you can pickle just throw in and cook with the rest )

I believe it was last year that my husband saw Mr. Food make this recipe on tv. I looked up the recipe and gave it a try. He loves these pickles. I made them so many times from my home grown pickles that I figured out how to can them. It now a staple in our family.

I found this recipe several years ago and impressed every time I use it.

I wouldn't bother to can them because they will last for about 2 months in the coldest part of the fridge and they are so easy to make up as you need them, no waiting for them to cure.

I have made these for years and always get asked for the recipe. I cook them for 8 minutes because that is what the original recipe called for. My microwave is 1000 watts.

I wonder how long these would last if they were vacuumed sealed?

very good & easy. I wonder, can u can them?

Our Homemade Microwave Pickles don't need to be canned because they are microwaved, which speeds up the process so that you don't have to can them. However, if you don't microwave them, and just can them, it would be all right. :)

Awesome and so easy to make. Crunchy and yummy. Amazing taste. Can't wait to make more!

These are the best pickles, they taste just like the bread and butter I used to eat as a girl. They are wonderful.....

Wow, these were the absolute best pickles I've made. My family couldn't believe these came out of the microwave! Love them. Sooooo quick and easy. They taste like bread and butter pickles. I've made bread and butter pickles before, and they're time consuming to cook on the stove. These are so quick and easy.

Does this taste like sweet pickles or dill?

I'd say that, with the sugar, they'd be sweet. A quick search on the 'net showed other similar recipes with the description "bread and butter". Do a search for "microwave dill pickles" if you're wanting to make that. (which is what I'd prefer)

I wonder how long these keep?

The pickles can keep about 7 -10 days in the refrigerator.

This recipe is so awesome. I can't get enough of these and neither do my friends!

Home made pickles...easy...Delish!

I can finally make home made pickles, thank you my son wants to know can we add broccoli cauflower to the pickles?

dill or sweet l like sweet pickle.

What a great & easy recipe !! Took some to work for a cookout everybody loved them

These were terrific & very easy to make. I'll make another batch later today, because we gobbled them up in one shot. I'll double the recipe, and since I have several English cukes....I'll use 'em this time. I will however, add some finely chopped garlic and a little bit of pickling spice. I used a 'mandolyn' to slice the cukes very thinly. Now I'm thinking that perhaps adding a little bit of fresh dill weed would be nice, too.

I did multiply the recipe and added another 10 min for doubling the recipe

I made this and gave a lot to friends and family in pint glass jars, looks like I will be making a lot more, can't keep it in the fridge more than 3 days and it is gone

can these be put in canning jars and heated to seal? I would like to make and give as gifts at a later time.

I am pickling sausages. Can I speed up the process in the same fashion? This sounds super.

My mom gets LOTS of cukes, and wants to make enough pickles to save and freeze. How would she "multiply" the recipe, especially the microwaving time? Thanks.

I would like to put some of these homemade pickles up. can I put these in jars after they cool down? I don't want to use a pressure cooker. any help will be welcome. thank you

GREAT RECIPE..

I am a diabetic. Can you use a sugar substitute for this recipe?

Yes, I have used Splenda in this recipe. They turn out delicious!

In order to cut down on the high amount of sugar called for in this recipe, I used Truvia, as my choice of an artificial sweetener because nearly all other artificial sweeteners (Splenda, Sweet-N-Lo, etc.) are very bad for one's health. I used 3-1/2 tbsps. of Truvia which equaled 1/2 cup of sugar and then used just 1 tbsp.. of regular sugar.

I made these last summer and they were delicious.

HI all! I don't like sweet pickles. Can someone give me micro recipe for dill pickles? PLLEEEEAAASSEEEE? KDinMD

We don't have a recipe for microwave dill pickles, but we do have other pickle recipes. Simply type the word "pickle" into the search field and you will see all the pickle recipes from the Mr. Food Test Kitchen. Thank you!

is the sugar for the sweetness or can you add dill for a dill pickle taste?

loved this recipe can change it around as you please I used half splenda... next time Im gonna try making dill pickles with fresh dill from the garden and fresh garlic

Amazing -- like Joy46 idea of adding garlic and dried red peppers. Will try that the next time I make them.

Oh, wow!! These are amazing!! The only thing I did differently is add one clove of garlic and a pinch of dried red peppers. They were great. Thank you for such an EASY and delicious recipe!

You are so right !!!!!! Amazing !!!!!!!!!

I used a pickling spice blend in place of the mustard and celery seed, because I wanted the cloves, cinnamon, etc flavor. They were delicious.

I wish there was a video of this one, I just made them and they're still cooling, hope I have success.

My husband loves pickles, can't wait to try this easy recipe. Thanks for sharing

The moment I found Microwave pickles I rushed to my kitchen to give them a try. Quick, easy and I swear as good as the ones I remember as a child spending hours helping my grandmother put up. Thank you for bringing back a wonderful childhood memory and taste that was just to"OOH SO GOOD".
