This is the easy asparagus recipe you've been waiting to find. Our Simple Roasted Asparagus is so simple that you'll be pairing it with your main course multiple nights a week. It only uses five ingredients, and it takes about 10 minutes to prep and cook. We know it sounds too good to be true, but here it is! Our roasted asparagus recipe is sure to appeal to everyone at the dinner table, so get cookin' tonight!

What You'll Need:
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
What To Do:
  1. Preheat the broiler. Snap off tough ends of asparagus. Arrange on a 10- x 15-inch rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil.

  2. Broil 5-1/2 inches from heat 4 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar, salt, and pepper.


Select firm, green spears with tightly closed tips. If buying and cooking them on the same day is not an option, store asparagus upright in a container, standing in about an inch of water; cover container with a plastic bag, and refrigerate for up to 3 or 4 days.
