My grandmother use to boil the cabbage just until tender then she added the sweet sour juice. She said otherwise the will not get soft, it will stay hard and not soak up the juice

I have a question when you say shredded cabbage. Can you just use a cole slaw mix? Can you please let me know Hairybear2@aol.com thanks

Yes, you can use a coleslaw mix. Enjoy!

I love this recipe for cabbage, but I cannot add the seeds to it. Is there anything you can add to this recipe if you cannot have seeds? I just made it without.

The cabbage had a real good flavor.

I love the recipes on this site. To BrandyMaye tho, if you are not happy with a recipe, then skip it. But, do not take up space and whine about what others may like.
