These cheesy crab cups are so cute...it's kinda like a different version of crab cheese wontons. I've never heard of phyllo cups before...would it be ok to use either eggroll or wonton wrappers instead? Some finely minced jalapeno peppers or pimentos would be so yummy in this recipe and I just had a thought...what about a little cilantro and lemon zest to brighten it up a bit.

Hi there! You can season it to your liking! Egg rolls and wontons will both work great for this! In fact, here's a similar recipe with the wontons. Enjoy! https://www.mrfood.com/Appetizers/Creamy-Crab-Wontons

What section of the supermarket might I find phyllo shells? I actually like imitation crab meat better than real. It is made from some kind of fish and has a milder seafood flavor to me.

I'm not a fan of old bay seasoning...and I wouldn't use imitation crab (awful taste) I would use real or use frozen shrimp.

Imitation crab meat does taste awful to me too. Just go the little exacter and get the real crab meat to make crab recipe. If you do you will love the recipe better for sure because imitation of any thing is not real good to me.
