Yes, dinner can be on the table in five minutes with our fast, easy recipe for Five Minute Shrimp. Just a few ingredients and a skillet are all it takes to turn out a restaurant-quality meal that tastes amazing.

What You'll Need

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined, with tails on
  • 1/2 teaspoon seafood seasoning (we like Old Bay)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons peeled fresh grated ginger (see Note)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

What to Do

  1. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add shrimp, Old Bay seasoning, pepper, and ginger. Cook 2 to 4 minutes, or until shrimp are just pink.

  2. Stir in lemon juice, butter, and parsley; mix well. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Don't have any fresh ginger on hand? No problem! You can substitute with a 1/2 teaspoon of dried, ground ginger.
  • Serve over yellow rice for a tasty meal with eye appeal!

Delicious and Easy. I added some Green Peas and Carrots to the Yellow Rice to Look Fancy enough for Guests. Everyone Loved it.

How do you make yellow rice? Do you buy it like that or is it the ingredients you add to white rice?

Hi there! Check out our recipe, Yellow Rice, here: http://www.mrfood.com/Potatoes-Rice/Yellow-Rice-1621 Enjoy!

I made this today and it was delicious . The seasoning were just right. I served it with yellow rice. Yum! This will be my go to recipe for shrimp.

I made this for the first time for lunch today. My husband said this was the best-tasting shrimp he has ever had, and he has eaten all kinds of shrimp in his lifetime - so have I. It is delicious and so easy to make, especially if you have your rice ready ahead of time. just minutes to make. Keep up the good work, Mr. Food and staff. I am sending this recipe to my daughters. I know they will love it.

Tried this and it was DELISH!!!

This sounds like a good one. I love shrimp and the easiest way to cook it and add the rest of the meal is a good one.
