Could you use candied cherries instead. or graham cracker crumbs

If you wanna change it up then you can certainly sub candied cherries in this recipe! The test kitchen thinks graham cracker crumbs should work too.

Without going into a lot of detail too many cherries were put in to the recipe so it never stuck together. If I add more vanilla cookie crumbs do you think it would absorb the liquid that is preventing these ingredients from sticking and forming a log? Just a thought .. the amount of ingredients in a recipe is there for a reason--agreed?

These look like little fruit cake logs. I happen to LOVE fruit cake and can't wait to make these!

Had made this last week and Gave away a few of the logs... and Everyone had thought it was GREAT!!! Will be making another batch again this weekend to hand out to some other friends.

We do not like raisins. Since there are nuts in it already I am putting in chocolate chips in substitution for the rasins .

I just made this and LOVE IT!! Oh, my! It is absolutely delicious!! It is a little sticky and soft but so worth sticky fingers to eat it!! Ha! This is amazing and will be a special Holiday treat from now on! Thank you!

Thank you Joy for sharing that it is a bit "sticky"...so I wonder if when you just take them from Fridge if ya sliced up the roll in serving size pieces and flipped those in confectioners' sugar if that would help? Just a thought. :-)
