Another twist on baked cranberry sauce. One package of cranberries, 1 cup sugar. Lay cranberries in pan, cover with sugar. Place foil on top. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Take out of oven and place a cup of English walnuts on top of foil to toast. Bake 15 minutes. Take out and combine cranberries, buts and small jar of orange marmalade with 3 tablespoon lime juice. Mix well. Will thicken as it sits

I like the roast flavor the oven recipe gives the dish. Stovetop okay but that roasted flavor was delicious.

The stovetop receipe on bag is faster, less messy and has a lot less sugar and tastes just fine. Its quick and easy..why do this extra work ,take a chance on bubbling over in oven and have all those extra callories with the sugar. Mr Food ..you loose on this one.

I agree, why waste the time baking the cranberry sauce, the stove top recipe on the cranberry bag is excellent and you can add your own touches such as pecan, orange, ginger or whatever you want ...

I agree, we always do it on the stove top, just be very careful to keep it on low heat so it doesn't stick and burn, and keep the lid on otherwise when the berries "pop" open, you will have a newly decorated ceiling! I'm talking from experience the first time I tried it on my own when cooking my first Christmas as a newlywed. I wanted to make an impression on my new husband, and boy did I.

It is much faster and just as delicious to use the stove top recipe on the package of cranberries to make your cranberry sauce .

Dish is delicious and different than opening up the usual can of jellied cranberry. My only concern was that the ingredients "bubbled up" in the process of baking and made quite a mess in the oven. I would use a 3 quart casserole!

I made this for Thanksgiving. I made 1 1/2 recipes using the 2 bags of Cranberries, 3 cups sugar and 3 TBSP of water. Simple to make. DELICIOUS! Will never buy canned again
