What You'll Need

  • 1 (32-ounce) bag frozen French fries
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sliced dill pickles
  • 3/4 cup cheese sauce, warmed

What to Do

  1. Place frozen French fries on baking sheet and bake according to package directions.

  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over high heat, cook ground beef 6 to 8 minutes, or until browned; drain off excess fat.

  3. Stir in ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper; mix well and cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes, or until heated through.

  4. Place French fries on a large platter, spoon meat mixture over the fries, sprinkle with onion and pickles, and evenly drizzle cheese sauce over everything. Serve immediately.

Note

  • Feel free to drizzle extra ketchup over the top, if you'd like.

  • There's so much you can do with versatile ground beef! Another one of our favorites is Skillet Sombrero Pie -- give it a try!

This looks really sloppy and yummy! I've always loved cheese fries, and this cheeseburger version is something I'm sure I'm going to be making up soon. This would be a great thing to have for watching a game or getting together with friends in general. The recipe seems to imply regular ketchup, but I like to use one of the spicier varieties, along with some of the stone ground mustard (like Gulden's) rather than plain yellow mustard. And bacon sprinkled on top of the cheese topping is a must.

Made this tonight and it was Excellent!!! Wouldn't change a thing!!!

So easy that my kids helped me prepare this. They enjoyed eating it even more!

Excellent and so easy, this is the second time I've made it for my family who raved over it.

I work for a Adult Home facility I run the house which means menu planning ordering food med reports so on and so on I love Mr Food and have copied a lot of the recipes for work and its well received They love the meals I use to start meals for the sec shift but with Mr Food if they can do it under a hr then sec shift needs to do this on there own which frees up a lot of my time to work on something else The other houses have heard of the house that I'm in charge of and wants to do the same thing at their houses I let them copy and take what they want from the house I'm more then happy to help out to make it easier on them They have seen and heard how my house works so well and wantRead More to know how to do it I tell them just go to Mr Foods website to pick out recipes There so good fast and easy Really thank you for this site the guys that I take care of love them and so do I Mr Food is the best site I know of Like it says fast and easy

I've made this a few times, I like it so well! I actually get a craving for it, and it's so easy. As for the printer problems, if you use your computer "tools" menu (upper right corner), click print, preview, change pages to 1 (if more are listed) & then print. Simple!

Going to make this today for the big game. Waffle fries and shredded cheese sound better. Thanks Shirleyal!

I think this "cheesy burger fries" must be a 1000 calories a bite!!! Sure, anything that's gonna pack on the carbs is gonna be delish!

I have tried this last night had all the ingredients to use. Family loved it did not know what else to make and made this. Next time i will try waffle fries and shredded cheese

The recipe sounds wonderful. I do seem to have trouble with this website however. It seems to lock up almost 90% of the time and gives me an error message. Anyone else having problems?

sounds good.

About the printing issue I too used to copy & paste, then I discovered that when you hit print, you're printer choices comes up, in the "print range" box, by default it's set to "all", change this to "one", that way all the extra's at the end won't be there. Now the only time I copy & paste is if, some one make's an addition that sounds good.

Excelent for those of us that need glutin free

I love this receipe, and printed it out to save and share with friends. However, I would appreciate the printing to stop at the end of the receipe, instead of printing the advertising that is after the comment page. Mary fleeceandfabric.com

Mary, instead of printing the recipe from the website I copy & paste into a microsoft Word document then I can delete what I don't want to waste ink printing

Like OceanBreeze, I copy the text from the screen. However, I paste it into Notepad which strips all the formatting. Then I select all in Notepad and cut it, then paste to my final repository medium [in my case MSWord]-- and format as desired. Using the + C, then V, then A, then X, then V takes all of about 3 seconds and saves lots of formatting time.

maryheg99 6729906 hit notes then print and your printer dialog will come up then hit one and all it will do is print the receipe..

I usually dont like mustard and ketchup on my handburgers but my kids do so i tried this receipe...I couldnt even tell their was ketchup and mustard on it but it tasted like pure cheeseburger...Delicious..and my kids want it again and again...Thanks

Wow...tried a variation on this where everything was seperate since we have some that dislike ketchup and /or mustard. We also added jalapenos, sweet and dill pickled, Cayene pepper, chili powder and cumin....Everyone had their own custom made dish!!! We strayed far from the recipe but the idea was there just the same. What did we watch?....Billy the Exterminator .....I know(sigh)
