Angry Lemonade
Craving a grown-up version of lemonade? Try this Angry Lemonade, which gets it's adults-only taste from mezcal, an alcoholic beverage similar to tequila. We even add some jalapeno into the mix for a spicy kick!
What You'll Need
- 2 tablespoons (1 shot) Zignum Silver Mezcal (or tequila)
- 1/2 cup lemonade
- 1 tablespoon agave syrup
- 1/4 jalapeno peppers, seeded
- 1 lime wedge
- 1/4 cup club soda
What to Do
- Fill a bar shaker glass with ice and all ingredients except soda. Shake until well combined. Strain into a glass filled with ice and top with club soda. Garnish with jalapeno and wedges of lime.
Notes
You can find agave syrup in your local market, next to the sugar and other sweeteners.

My husband and I are not big drinkers, but we really enjoy this one. We don't use the jalapeno as we find it really doesn't make much difference - but it's fun to include it when serving guests. I also use light Agave and the Simply Lemonade brand of lemonade. The key ingredient though is the Silver Mezcal - don't bother using regular tequila, it won't taste nearly as good. Cheers!
