COOK TIME

Most people grill or roast meat with little or no seasonings then wonder why it tastes so bland. The trick is to season meat before roasting, to bring out its natural flavor. These lamb chops are seasoned so that every bite is bursting with flavor.

What You'll Need

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 pounds lamb loin chops
  • 1/4 cup mint jelly, melted

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Coat a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, sage, salt, and pepper; mix well and season lamb chops on both sides.
  2. Place on baking sheet and bake 20 to 25 minutes, to medium doneness, or until desired doneness beyond that. Top with melted jelly, and serve.

Notes

Garnishing these with sprigs of fresh mint adds just the right finishing touch.
