Frozen Zebra Stack

What a wild week we had during our "Taste of Disney" series and this eye-catching no-bake dessert salutes the incredible animals we saw at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Our whimsical Frozen Zebra Stack has layer after layer of tasty textures, and is sure to be the talk of your table.
What You'll Need
- 1 (4-serving-size) package instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 (14.4-ounce) package chocolate-flavored graham crackers
- 1 (16-ounce) container ready-to-spread white frosting
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon vegetable shortening
What to Do
-
In a large bowl, whisk vanilla pudding mix and milk 1 to 2 minutes, or until thickened. Stir in whipped topping.
-
Place a single layer of graham crackers in the bottom of a 9- x 13-inch baking dish. Evenly spread one-third of pudding over graham crackers. Repeat layers of graham crackers and pudding 2 more times, ending with a layer of graham crackers. Cover and freeze 6 hours.
-
Spread frosting evenly over top.
- In a small microwaveable bowl, melt chocolate chips and vegetable shortening 45 to 60 seconds, stirring until smooth. Place mixture in a small resealable bag, and cut off a small piece of the corner. Pipe lines of chocolate from top to bottom about 1 inch apart. Run a butter knife through the lines in the opposite direction, creating a zebra pattern. Serve immediately or cover and freeze until ready to serve.

My most requested recipe all summer. Great tasting, great looking. The only problem I had was finding chocolate graham crackers, when I did, I stocked up.

I LOVE this recipe. I have made it several times for big family dinners, and the family absolutely loves it! The next day they were upset that i didn't leave the leftovers! I do have to say though that I did have to use more than just the one box of graham crackers that is listed in the recipe to get the correct layering. That being said it is a wonderful and easy recipe and I will be making it again tonight for our family get together tomorrow!!

This recipe is delicious, and easy to make. I also used about a box and a half of the chocolate graham crackers. I served it to company, and it was a huge hit! Everyone thought it tasted like ice cream sandwiches!

I used a 9 x 12 inch baking pan and one box of the chocolate graham crackers was not enough to cover all the layers. I had to send my hubby to the store to get more! But it is good and very easy, make ahead and freeze!

I have a similar recipe called clair cake that uses regular graham crackers and chocolate pudding and frosting. It does not require freezing. I'm sure this recipe would also obe great if not frozen! I'm going to try it chilled, but not frozen!

Your cake is popular in the Midwest, but called "eclair cake," as it mimics the tastes of an eclair (pastry, cream filling, frosted top.)

Really wish the nutrition would be posted with the recipes. Everything looks so good but won't make since I have no idea how many calories there are in them.

Try using fat free sugar free pudding. It actually tastes better AND reduced fat and sugar. Don't bother getting fat free or sugar free cool whip. They raise the fat to cover low sugar and raise sugar to cover low fat so best to just use regular for that.
