They'll go hog-wild over our tasty recipe for Dogs 'n' Hogs. Every bite of our recipe for mini bacon-wrapped hot dogs is irresistibly flavor-packed.

What You'll Need:

  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon cherry juice
  • 12 slices bacon, cut in half (24 pieces)
  • 8 hot dogs (about 1 pound), cut into thirds (24 pieces)
What To Do:

  2. Meanwhile, wrap bacon around hot dog pieces and place on baking sheet.

  3. Bake 8 minutes, turn hot dogs over, then cook 5 to 6 more minutes, or until bacon is crisp. Serve with cherry mustard dipping sauce.

These turned out tasty but took A LOT longer to crisp up the bacon than the recipe calls for. But these tasty little tidbits would be great for a pitchin dinner, picnic or party.

Try this with Polish kielbasa.... cut into bite size pieces. If you put a little brown sugar on the bacon, it makes it a little crunchy...

bet you could use the cocktail hotdogs with this too hmm?

These look awesome going to try them when grandchildren come to visit

I THINK THAT THIS RECIPE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A LIFE SAVER FOR MY BELOVED AUNT WILLIMAE SMACK SHE WAS A SNAP AT MAKING SNACK DINNERS FOR ME AND MY FINNICKY COUSINS. BUT I DON'T THINK SHE USED CHERRY JUICE JUST THE BACON AND HOT/SWEET MUSTARD AND KETCHUP. I'LL TRY THE CHERRYJUICE AND STUFF THE NEXT TIME BUT THIS SOUND MOUTH WATERING

This sounds good to me.

Does anyone know whre I could buy the cute little forks? Thanks.

The 'cute little forks' look plactic if u look carefully. (reflection of the light gives it away. They make STRUDY ones these days, Try 'Wally-World'....they carry them here in South Miss. marianne39506@hotmail.com

For goodness sakes folks..read the recipe, don't try to disect it..just get on with it and either use the recipe or just hush up.

AMEN, why is that ?????

it really is a good idea to read the recipe twice and very slowly before making a really stupid comment..to many people dont take time to do this and the results are laughable

Looks good. Think I'll try it for Christmas eve party.

WHAT are you talking about USMJFK? Did your hotdog package only have 7 hotdogs in it? Buy one that has 8 in it!!! Mine always does! Nathans hotdogs and they are always great!

when i went to school 7 x 3 = 21 not 24

There are 8 hotdogs to a package 8 X3 = 24 ! Althought I have purchased "bun sized ' hotdogs where there are 6 per package Have NEVER seen 7 hotdogs in a package The instructions are complately correct

Sound like a great idea perfit for Christmas party & new years eve party also going to make it

Need to try that dip

The recipe was good but the sauce tasted too much like mustard. If you substitute one half cup Dijon mustard for yellow mustard or cut back the yellow mustard by half and use 3 tablespoons of cherry juice, the sauce was fine. Also use all beef hot dogs instead of cheap dogs, the consistency and flavor was better.

Sounds real good ,I will definately have to try this recipe.
