These luscious, Tempting Turtle Bars only need four ingredients! If that's not tempting, we don't know what is! It's a classic combo of chocolate and caramel, baked in a bar cookie perfect for sharing.

What You'll Need

  • 1 (16.5-ounce) roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (12-ounce) jar caramel topping
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Press cookie dough into bottom of 9- x 13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, drizzle with caramel topping, and sprinkle with pecans.
  3. Bake 18 to 20 minutes, or until chips melt; cool completely in baking dish on wire rack. Chill at least 2 hours; cut into bars.

These remind me of the magic bars my mother makes, except they use coconut where these use pecans and I believe the crust is graham crackers and these are sugar cookies. Regardless, this look really good and I think my family would probably like them more since they really don't care for coconut, and these don't look like they are over ran with pecans.

This recipe is so good and so easy. I love turtle candy, so this is a favorite. A lot of bar recipes have a long and expensive list of ingredients, but this recipe is short and sweet. I make it a lot and enjoy these bars with milk or coffee. Can't wait to make them again.
