I agree with whosyournana 9622226..basically Real Whip Cream is used as a dollop on top of cakes such as pound or any other kind that's not usually frosted, slices of pie hot or cold cups of beverages. The whipped topping in the tubs are made mostly for frosting cakes and cookies and use in any fruit salads as it does tend to be firmer and doesn't slide of the cakes or cookies and holds the salads together and yes , you would have to keep it all in the fridge.

such a nice use of angel food cake

Sounds very easy & yummy! Healthier than most cakes.

You could easily use any of the flavors of Candy Canes not necessarily the mint one's.

Looks pretty and very easy. But, wouldn't the candy cane be hard to chew or does it soften in the whipped cream? If I were to make this cake, I would use real whipped cream not the frozen stuff.

if u use the extra creamy tub of whipped topping, it will hold up better than real whip cream,,,
