Simply Refreshing Iced Tea

12 Min

Simply Refreshing Iced Tea is perfect for those sweltering summertime days, especially 'cause it's a sure-fire way to please the potluck crowd. Mix this one up during summertime or anytime!

What You'll Need

  • 12 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 7 tea bags
  • 8 cups ice cubes

What to Do

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and tea bags and bring to a boil over high heat; allow to boil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Remove and discard the tea bags. Transfer to a one-gallon container and add the ice, stirring to cool the mixture.

  3. Serve immediately in individual glasses over additional ice, or chill until ready to serve. Makes about 1 gallon.

  • For an extra kick, squeeze in a lemon, lime, or orange into each serving right before dishing 'em out!
