    Fruit slices add a tangy flavor to this sweet autumn favorite. Make up a big bowl of Mulled Cider and serve at your next fall party!

    What You'll Need

    • 1 gallon apple cider
    • 4 cinnamon sticks
    • 1 -1/2 teaspoons whole allspice
    • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
    • 1 navel orange, sliced
    • 1 lemon, sliced
    • 1 cup rum, optional

    What to Do

    1. In a soup pot, combine cider, cinnamon sticks, allspice, cloves, and fruit slices, and bring mixture to a boil over high heat.
       
    2. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Add rum, if desired.
       
    3. Discard spices and fruit slices, and serve warm.
