Campfire S'mores
- MAKES
- 8 sandwiches
- COOK TIME
- 10 Min
After cooking up lots of grilled favorites, how 'bout finishing off your meal with a favorite from the days when we all sat around the campfire telling ghost stories?
What You'll Need
- 8 wooden or metal skewers
- 8 large marshmallows
- 2 milk chocolate candy bars (1.5 ounces each)
- 8 graham crackers, split in half
What to Do
-
Preheat grill to medium-low heat. Soak wooden skewers in water 15 to 20 minutes.
-
Place a marshmallow on end of each skewer.
-
Break chocolate bars into 4 pieces each and place 1 piece on each of 8 graham cracker halves.
- Carefully hold skewered marshmallows over grill until marshmallows begin to turn golden, about 3 to 4 minutes. When marshmallows are done to your liking, top each piece of chocolate with a marshmallow, then another graham cracker half, making sandwiches. Serve immediately.
Notes
When we were growing up, we speared our marshmallows with sticks. Skewers are definitely a better choice 'cause they don't add that authentic woodsy taste of tree bark!!
