Easy, refreshing, and full of Florida sunshine, this frozen dessert recipe is the best way to brighten up your day. With a burst of lemon flavor, this homemade lemon dessert recipe adds a fruity twist to your regular routine. Bring it to your local church bake sale or to your Bingo night and watch it disappear before your very eyes.

What You'll Need

  • 15 vanilla wafers
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

What to Do

  1. Line bottom and sides of an 8- x 4- inch loaf pan with aluminum foil, extending foil 1" over edges of pan.
     
  2. Arrange vanilla wafers, top side down, on bottom of pan, overlapping to fit bottom. In a large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice. Fold in whipped topping, then place mixture over vanilla wafers.
     
  3. Cover and freeze 4 hours or until firm. Invert onto a serving plate and peel off foil. If necessary, let stand 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Store leftover loaf in the freezer.
