You want something quick and easy, but it has to be tasty and satisfying, too, right? If you're a fan of seafood and pasta salads, then give this crab salad a spin. You'll be crawling back for more!

What You'll Need

  • 1 pound uncooked cheese tortellini (see Note)
  • 1 pound imitation crabmeat, flaked
  • 1 medium-sized red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream

What to Do

  1. Cook the tortellini according to the package directions; drain, rinse, and drain again. Set aside and allow to cool in the colander.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooled tortellini and the remaining ingredients except the cream. Mix until thoroughly combined, then stir in the cream. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

You can use fresh, frozen, or dried tortellini - or even use meat-filled tortellini for added flavor.

I think there is no recipe in the article...

When a recipe calls for mayo, they mean mayo. Miracle Whip is salad dressing and is labeled as such.

I don'tknow. I've interchanged the two lots of times and never had any problems with flavor. I usually only have Miracle Whip on hand most of the time. I guess it depends on a person's preference.

When a recipe calls for mayo (like this one), is it mayo or Miracle Whip (salad dtessing)? The recipes should be specific on this. They are totally different and it can ruin the flavor if you use the wrong one.
