You know those yummy chocolate caramel candies that are shaped like turtles? We've put that same gooey, rich taste into our Turtle Pie!

What You'll Need

  • 1 (21- to 23-ounce) package brownie mix
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans, divided
  • 1 (9-inch) frozen ready-to-bake deep dish pie shell, thawed
  • 1/3 cup caramel topping

What to Do

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree F. In a large bowl, prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions. Stir in 1/2 cup of the pecans and pour into the pie crust.

  2. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 20 minutes.

  3. Drizzle the caramel topping over the pie and sprinkle with the remaining pecans.

Note

Be sure to have ice-cold milk on hand when you serve this!

I think it looks great! Have you people never heard of Nestl Toll House Pie? Check it out. Same premise, only Toll House cookies in a PIE CRUST. Yes it is done & it's very good.

I think it sounds gooooood..You can buy Turtle Pie in the stores, why not make your own.

There is no way I would make this....a box of brownies on top of a pie crust !!!! way too much crust.....I would rather mix up the brownie mix put it in a pan, with caramel sauce on top and add pecans and bake....why in the world do you need the pie crust ????? Just sayin.............

I agree with kylady717. This recipe just doesn't make any sense. The brownies with carmel sauce would work just fine; don't need the pie crust - unless you wanted to put a chocolate pudding base in the crust before you add the brownie mix.

started baking this recipe several yrs ago without crust in 10'' deep dish glass pie pan, so good with ice cream, very easy and all a brownie should be
