Tomato-Basil Turkey Sauce

Perk up plain sliced turkey with this sauce for a nice change

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 scallion, finely chopped

What to Do

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the mayonnaise, milk, and basil. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until the mixture thickens and begins to boil. Stir in the tomato and scallion.

  2. Serve hot or cold.

  3. Makes 1-2/3 cups.

Notes

This is great served over sliced, cooked turkey. Try fresh basil instead of the dried, or for a different taste treat, try fresh dill. Light mayonnaise will also work well.
