We get lots of questions about how to make Polish kielbasa other than grilling it. Now we've got the answer for everybody.
What You'll Need
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, sliced into -inch slices (1 cups)
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed French onion soup
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound smoked Polish kielbasa
- 1 (15 ounce) can whole potatoes, drained
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can sliced carrots, drained
What to Do
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat and cook onions about 5 minutes, until tender.
- Stir in soup, vinegar, and pepper.
- Pierce skin of kielbasa several times with a fork, then add it along with potatoes and carrots; reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 15 minutes or until heated through. Serve immediately.
Notes
Piercing the kielbasa before heating helps keep it from bursting open while it's cooking.

This was quite good, and extremely easy. The taste was wonderful, and it dressed up really well with crusty bread. Considering the simplicity of on hand ingredients, and the eye appeal with crusty bread so no juices go to waste, makes it 5 star.

Being adventuresome,I had to turn this inside out: so I put 3 tsb. of extra light tasting olive oil in a medium high, skillet, cut my kielbasa into bite size pieces, dumped 'em in and sprinkled with onion beads. seared them with salt and a bunch of fresh ground black pepper Added a fist full of flour,Drained and chopped a can of potatoes and sliced carrots,Dumped them in and added a couple-three tsb of parsley flakes,Stirred that up,Added a half cup of wate and a tsp of browning and seasoning sauce. turned heat down to med-low and simmered for about ten mins. I don't get out much,But this tastes "OH SO GOOD"to me. P.S.The glass of Merlot and toasted potato bread doesn't hurt either.

Kielbasa is smoked polish sausage. If the recipe says polish sausage it is fresh sausage. Hope this helps.
