Sweet Potato Custard Pie

If you want something a little different from the traditional sweet potato pie you make, try this Sweet Potato Custard Pie. It's simple to bake and makes for a super holiday pie!
What You'll Need
- 1 (29-ounce) can sweet potatoes or yams, drained
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 (9-inch) frozen ready-to-bake deep-dish pie shell, thawed
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the pie shell. Beat with an electric beater on medium speed until smooth and well mixed; pour into pie shell.
- Bake 55 to 60 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow to cool slightly and serve warm, or allow to cool then cover and chill until ready to serve.
Notes
Top your pie with some marshmallows to add a bit of sweet taste on top!

This is a good starter recipe for a simple sweet potato pie. I grew up eating spiced sweet potato pies, so I added some extra nutmeg and some cinnamon. I also added a bit of vanilla like others have mentioned. Yum, so glad it's fall!

could not be easier, unless someone else made it for you...topped mine with ring of mini marshmallows around outside border last 10 minutes of baking, so cute.
