- COOK TIME
- 1 Hr 40 Min
This is my favorite recipe for ribs. It's so easy to make them inside, too, instead of on an outdoor grill.
What You'll Need
- 12 pounds pork spareribs
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- Seasoned salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 quart mild barbecue sauce
- 1 quart applesauce
- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
- 2 tablespoons caraway seeds
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Season the ribs with the garlic powder, seasoned salt, and pepper and place them in large shallow baking pans. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, mix all the remaining ingredients in a large saucepan, and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Brush ribs all over with sauce.
- Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes longer. Or, preheat broiler, brush baked ribs with sauce, and broil for 10 to 12 minutes, turning and brushing with sauce once. Serve with any remaining sauce.
- Makes 2-1/2 quarts of sauce.
Notes
Liquid smoke can be found in the condiment section of the supermarket.
