Take out the party hats and noisemakers 'cause slice after slice of this hearty bread yells, "Let's party!"

What You'll Need

  • 1 (1 pound) loaf frozen white bread dough, thawed
  • 1/4 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1 tablespoon diced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons diced red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons diced green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon diced jalapeño pepper (1 whole pepper, seeded)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dry taco seasoning mix

What to Do

  1. Coat a  9-inch loaf pan with cooking spray. On a lightly floured board, roll out thawed bread dough to 8- x 11-inch.

  2. Layer dough with ham, onion, bell peppers, jalapeño pepper, Italian seasoning, cheese and taco seasoning mix. Roll up dough, jelly-roll fashion, tucking in ends as you roll and place seam side down in prepared loaf pan.

  3. Cover with a damp cloth and allow to rise 1 hour. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. and bake 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before slicing.

Notes

This is great rewarmed just put it into a 200 degrees F. oven for 15 to 20 minutes and WOW!

Like to add I sometimes make olive bread, spread rolled out dough with mayonaise for moistness & flavor if u like sprinkle with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon garlic powder & a pinch of basil then add drained chopped green & black olives sprinkle well with shredded cheese like mozzerella or cheddarand roll up and proceed like the other rolled bread you can also brush top of bread with melted butter OR beaten egg and add sesame seeds or poppy seeds on top if u wish

Simply mix in the seasonings with other ingredients before spreading Another way is to make pizza bread spread the rolled out bread with pizza sauce layer with sliced pepperoni or cooked sausage then sprinkle well with mozzerella cheese you can add additional seasonings if you like (garlic powder oregano basil a few flakes red pepper flakes ) I like to add a few drops olive oil to pizza sauce to keep everything nice moist & tasty follow direstions as in above recipe for rollings rising & baking Serve with warm pizza sauce on side for dipping I also make this with roast pork (cooked)or polish sausage drained sauerkraut cooked cubed potatoes and/or fried onions and cheese can use mozzerella swiss or cheddar REALLY GODD like a pierogi So many different fillings to make with this kind of filled bread
