This Lemony Chicken Piccata screams lemony, creamy, goodness in every bite. Start loosening your belt buckle now because once you start eating this, you won't be able to stop.

What You'll Need

  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice, divided
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 skinned and boned chicken breast halves
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons chicken-flavored bouillon granules
  • 1/2 cup hot water

What to Do

  1. Combine egg and 1 tablespoon lemon juice in a small bowl; beat well with a wire whisk.

  2. Combine flour and garlic powder in a small bowl; stir well. Dip chicken in egg mixture; dredge in flour mixture. Brown chicken in butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat 4 to 5 minutes on each side.

  3. Dissolve bouillon granules in hot water; add bouillon mixture and remaining 2 tablespoons lemon juice to chicken. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until chicken is done. Serve over warm cooked rice, if desired.

Didn't really care for this one. Maybe I don't know what lemon chicken is supposed to taste like but we just didn't like the flavor.

Yes...and I'm thinking white wine instead of chicken bouillon - phony taste & way too much sodium.
