Whether you make these as a quick appetizer or a fun-to-eat main course, you're in for a treat!

What You'll Need

  • 1 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 cup picante sauce
  • 5 pounds split chicken wings, thawed if frozen

What to Do

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ketchup, honey, and picante sauce. Add the chicken wings and toss to coat well. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 400 degree F.

  2. Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade. Spread the wings in a single layer on two large aluminum-foil-lined rimmed baking sheets that have been coated with nonstick vegetable spray.

  3. Bake the wings for 30 minutes, then remove from the oven, turn over, and brush with the reserved marinade. Discard any excess marinade.

  4. Return the wings to the oven and bake for 30 more minutes, or until the chicken is crispy and no pink remains. Serve immediately.

Notes

The spiciness of these wings depends on the intensity of the picante sauce - the hotter the sauce, the hotter the wings!
