Me, to jthelander1231, so thirsty

Just seeing this is making me thirsty! What a great summer drink recipe.

When I was a child Mother would slice 3 lemons into a wooden bowl and then press them with a wooden potato masher. Then you put them in a pitcher and rinsed the bowl with water that was poured into the pitcher. Put in sugar according to how sweet you want it. Add water to fill the pitcher and ice if you want. The oils from pressing the slices add sooooo much extra flavor to the lemonade. This was the way to make lemonade about 6o plus years ago. It always tasted wonderful to us and we even ate some of the leftover slices sometimes when the lemonade was gone.
