You'll never think of swordfish the same way again after you try Mandarin Sesame Swordfish. Soy sauce and sesame add a tasty and unexpected salty crunch.

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh gingerroot
  • 4 (6-ounce) swordfish steaks
  • 1 (11-ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

What to Do

  1. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the orange juice, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger; add the fish, seal the bag, and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Remove the fish from the marinade, reserving the marinade.

  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

  3. Place the fish on an oiled grill rack. Grill the fish for 6 to 7 minutes per side, or until it flakes easily with a fork.

  4. Meanwhile, place the reserved marinade in a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Let boil until reduced and thickened. Add the mandarin oranges and pour over the swordfish. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
