This sauce has so many uses. you'll be able to use it on anything you want to make richer and heartier and, yes, even fancier.
What You'll Need
- 4 slices (3/4 ounce each) processed yellow American cheese, cut into quarters
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
What to Do
- In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat, stirring, until melted.
- Makes about 1/2 cup.
Serve over steak, vegetables, potatoes, pasta, or rice.
