Dilly Crab Dip

Using only four simple ingredients, this homemade dip recipe is a real winner. Served up hot 'n' bubbly, our Dilly Crab Dip is a restaurant-quality dish you can make right at home. Serve it with a side of fries or potato chips for an appetizer the whole family can enjoy.

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 pound imitation crabmeat, flaked
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped dill
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Spoon mixture into a small baking dish.
     
  3. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Serve immediately.

I have to agree with others that say it is bland. It is very bland. On my second try I added minced garlic, pepper, some hot sauce, and 1/4 cup of sour cream, and some chopped green onions. Was quite good then.

I made this with canned lump crab meat, too. It was totally tasteless. The next day I mixed in about 1/3 cup parmesan cheese and 2 tsp. crushed garlic. It became passable, but not worth the cost of the crab.

Made this for New Year Day! Awesome recipe! Made it with 2 cans of drained Crab meat. Since it was bland for my taste, I added Hot Sauce, Garlic Powder and Garlic Salt. This one is a keeper. Thank you Mr. Food for sharing!
