can I make this a cold dip?

We don't recommend making this as a cold dip since this recipe calls for lots of shredded cheese. The shredded cheese needs to melt to make this dip nice and creamy.

reason for oil could be the cheddar cheese you used. You need to use a lower fat cheese or a better quality. Cheddar cheese usually has alot of grease.

I MADE THIS DIP AND WHEN IT BEGAN TO COOK IT BECAME FILLED WITH OIL SO I CHECKED TO BE SURE THERE WASN'T A MISSPRINT ON THE AMOUNT OF MAYO AND WHEN I CHECKED OTHER RECIPES FOR THIS DIP IT CALLED FOR THE SAME AMOUNT OF MAYO. IS THIS NORMAL FOR IT TO BE FULL OF OIL OR CAN YOU CUT DOWN ON THE MAYO? OTHER THAN THE OIL PROBLEM THE TASTE IS WONDERFUL

Delicious! When I prepare this dip, I never have leftovers! So easy to prepare also.
