MAKES

COOK TIME
3 Hr

These bite-sized Ghoulish Glazed Meatballs get their ghoulishly good flavor from a combo of grape jelly, chili sauce, and lemon juice. Don't be surprised if all the ghouls and goblins in the neighborhood stop by to check out what you've made in your witches pot...er...we mean slow cooker!

What You'll Need

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (12-ounce) jar chili sauce
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

What to Do

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, water, salt, onion powder, and pepper; mix well. Form into 1-inch meatballs and set aside.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients, mixing well. Pour half the sauce into a 6-quart slow cooker then place all meatballs into the sauce, overlapping if necessary. Pour remaining sauce over meatballs.

  3. Cover and cook on LOW 3 to 5 hours, or until meatballs are cooked through and no pink remains in the center.

rich and tangy. I will ALWAYS serve with the small rye bread, a wonderful combo!!

the food is real nice and love them

Very nice. I'm 70 and Mom is 89 today. we both love watching "It's Ohh Soo good. thanks, Dianne Pickett

what do you serve With these meatballs to make it a completen meal?

i really enjoy aloha rice with this sauce. that's 3 cups cooked white rice with 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, & 1/2 cup shredded coconut mixed in during 'fluffing' & sprinkle crushed macadaimian nuts

I think these are meant to be an appetizer, not a main dish.

You can make anything a main dish if you add the right sides! The aloha rice sounds good - garlic mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes (oven fries!) would be good. A nice salad or veggies of your choice would round it out beautifully!

does your staff wonder sometimes about the cooks not reading or understanding your recipes? too me, they are easy to understand and easy to sub ingredients if you want.

totally agree. this recipe site is my favorite because the directions ARE so clear and easy to follow.

i always have these in crock pot for holidays as appetizers everyone loves them mmmmmmmmmm

These r really really good not spices or sweet just right. My kids love them.................

In a hurry you can use frozen meatballs. Great for parties or quick entertainment.
