I've been asking a lot of questions lately about the recipes as I'm in charge in Sept. of our church "coffee hour". Can these be made in mini muffin tins how long would I bake them? Thanks for all the help I'm getting the Mr Food site is awesome!

Hi there! The Test Kitchen has not made these in mini muffin tins, but estimates 12 to 18 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

this recipe is very interesting although I am not a vegan it looks like it could be a vegan recipe since it does not use eggs or milk can I use a vegan margarine like Fleishmann's?

Hello! Yes you can use vegan margarine in this recipe. :)

I grew up on shoofly pie and the taste in these reminds me of being a kid again. And that was a long time ago.

where do you find the new recipe?

The recipe is revised and it is the one you see above. Thank you for asking!

I have contacted Mr. Food headquarters, they have a corrected version of the recipe now. Hopefully will do the trick. Check it out!

What was wrong with it?

No Ty, the eggs are not missing !!! The baking soda and boiling water do the trick. Ginna

Are eggs missing from this recipe?
